A Brett Jones Football Academy will be hosted in Weyburn from Tuesday to Thursday, July 4-6. The event is co-hosted by Olympia In Depth Athlete Performance Centre and the Weyburn Minor Football Association.
The cost of the Brett Jones Football Academy will be $150 per participant. It includes six hours of instruction and coaching each day. Classroom sessions cover areas such as nutrition and supplementation, strength and conditioning training, analyzing game film, mental preparation and learning the game. There will also be three on-field practice sessions at Darold Kot Field.
Each participant who registers for the camp will receive a sponsor T-shirt and shorts, healthy snacks and drinks each day, an Olympia In Depth water bottle, and a Brett Jones autographed picture. Interested players must be either bantam or high school age and must have a minimum one-year of experience playing tackle football. There is a limit of 30 players.
Interested players can register in person at Olympia In Depth, located at 1733 Railway Avenue. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Net proceeds from the camp are going to be donated directly back to both Weyburn Minor Football and the Eagles High School football team.
