The Weyburn Silver Seals had 12 athletes who competed at the 2017 Summer Swimming Provincials. The provincial meet was held in Watrous on August 5 and 6. The following are the results by local swimmers.
Aiden Aasland-Guest placed sixth in his 100 m breaststroke and 12th in his 100 m individual medley and 50 m backstroke. Danny Fortune won bronze in the 200 m individual medley relay and placed sixth in 50 m breaststroke, seventh in 25m butterfly and eighth in 100 m backstroke. Ryder Hignett won gold in the 50 m and 100 m backstroke and took bronze in 200 m free relay, as well as placing sixth in 100 m freestyle and eighth in 50 m freestyle.
Marley Kradovill won gold in 50 m butterfly, took bronze in 200 m medley relay and placed eighth in 200 m freestyle and individual medley. Skylar Kreger won silver in the 200 m free relay and placed fourth in 25 m and 50 m butterfly and 10th in 50 m freestyle. Tamberly Kreger won silver in 200 m freestyle relay, bronze in the 200 m medley relay and 50 m backstroke, placed fourth in 100 m backstroke and 100 individual medley, sixth in 50 m freestyle and seventh in 50 m breaststroke.
Dalton Molnar won silver in 200 m medley relay, took bronze in 200 m freestyle relay, placed fourth in 200 m freestyle, fifth in 200 m individual medley, sixth in 50 m backstroke, seventh in 100 m backstroke and 10th in 200 m freestyle. Lily Popescu won gold in 100 m freestyle and medley relays, silver in 25 m butterfly and bronze medals in 25 m and 50 m freestyle.
Tre Thompson won gold in the 13-14 year old 200 m freestyle and medley relays, silver in the 200 m freestyle relay, 200 m freestyle and 100 m butterfly, bronze in 100 m backstroke and 200 m individual, and placed fourth in 100 m freestyle and 200 m free relay. Zoe Thompson placed fourth in 200 m medley relay, fifth in 200 m breaststroke and backstroke, sixth in 100 m breaststroke, eighth in 100 m backstroke and 12th in 100 m freestyle.
Dylan Van Staveren won gold in 100 m medley relay, silver in 100 m freestyle relay and 25 m freestyle, and bronze in 25 m breaststroke and 50 m freestyle. Thomas Van Staveren placed eighth in 50 m breaststroke.
