The entry deadline for the bread baking contest at the Soo Line Historical Museum is today, at 5 p.m.

Crocus 80 Theatre will produce "Jake and the Kid - Prairie Seasons" at the Tommy Douglas Performing Arts Centre, doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 7:30 p.m. The evening will feature the "Jake and the Kid" cast, and participants from the Youth Theatre Development Program.

Friday

The annual Horticulture Show and tea room social, sertving strawberry shortcake, will be held at Knox Hall, from noon to 5 p.m.

At the Soo Line Historical Museum, homemade bread and saskatoon and rhubarb pie social will be served from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and a bread-baking contest display and silent auction will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Heritage Village Days runs at the Heritage Village from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will be entertainment on the Heritage Village Stage from noon to 6 p.m.

The City of Weyburn will have "Frozen" offered as their movie in the park at Jubilee Park, at diamond No. 5, starting at approximately 8:30 p.m.

At the Weyburn Public Library, Orm and Barb Mitchell will be reading selections from the works of W.O. Mitchell, at 2 p.m.

A Wheat Festival worship and praise service will be presented by the Weyburn Ministerial Association at Grace United Church at 3 p.m.

Monday

A Vacation Bible School will be hosted at the Church of Christ, running 9 a.m. to noon, from Monday to Friday, Aug. 15. The theme is "Wilderness Escape", and is for all ages four years and older.

Wednesday

The Summer Reading Program will be offered at the Weyburn Public Library. Senior participants, ages 10 to 12, gather from 10 to 11 a.m. Junior participants, ages six to nine, gather from 2 to 3 p.m.
