Colleen Luterbach, Weyburn's first nurse practitioner, has a peek into the ears of Carmen Davis during a visit to the Primary Care Clinic in Weyburn on Wednesday. A nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who is able to do some duties performed by a medical doctor, such as diagnosing some ailments, prescribing medication, and ordering tests such as X-rays, and can do minor procedures; she is part of the primary care team at Weyburn's downtown clinic, plus she is in Midale two days a week at the Mainprize Manor and health care centre.
