The K-6 classes at Haig School will be performing an online version of a Christmas musical entitled, “Holly Jolly Jukebox”, and have been busy rehearsing with music teacher Holly Butz.

The performance will be via Microsoft Teams as part of a special assembly on Thursday, Dec. 17, since in-person performances aren’t possible due to restrictions imposed for COVID-19.

In the musical, the Grade 6 students are sent on a quest by principal Arlene Dobson and administrative assistant Deana Peterson to find more Christmas decorations, and the students come across a talking jukebox that lights up and plays music.

The first photo after the jukebox scene is of the Grade 2s, who do a line dance to “Santa Claus is Comin' on a Boogie Woogie Choo Choo Train”.

Next is Grade 3 dancing with ribbons in top hats to “Winter Wonderland.”

The Grade 4/5 class is outside dancing to “Deck the Rooftop”, throwing their hats into the air.

The Grade 4s dance the swim and the hand jive to “Lil Old Saint Nick”, and the Grade 2/3s do a rhythm drum on cups to “Sleigh Ride”.

An email will be going to the families on Dec. 17 for the video links and there will be an Eye Spy challenge as part of the fun for the families.
