Independent Riders host two runs on Sept. 11-12

The Weyburn Independent Riders will have a busy weekend, with the annual Toy Run on Saturday, Sept. 11 and the annual Ronald McDonald Challenge on Sunday, Sept. 12.The Toy Run parade will leave from the parking lot of the Weyburn Junior High at 1 p.

The Weyburn Independent Riders will have a busy weekend, with the annual Toy Run on Saturday, Sept. 11 and the annual Ronald McDonald Challenge on Sunday, Sept. 12.The Toy Run parade will leave from the parking lot of the Weyburn Junior High at 1 p.m. on Sept. 11. Motorcyclists are encouraged to bring a collection of toys, that will be donated to the Salvation Army, and participate in the Toy Run.The parade will end at the River Park campground, with the riders taking a planned route through the downtown core of Weyburn.The Ronald McDonald Challenge will have Weyburn Independent Riders riding with participants from Estevan on Sept. 12. Motorcyclists will meet at the Weyburn McDonald's at 1 p.m. and then leave at 2 p.m. to ride to Estevan.In Estevan, they will join Estevan riders and will continue their journey to Stoughton, where the ride will end at the Crossroads Inn with a beef and bun supper. For a chance to win door prizes, riders must make a $20 donation to Ronald McDonald charities.For more information on either event, please contact Laurie Norman.
