Kristen Keith is the winner of the 2016 Helen Davidson Music Award.
Keith graduated from the Weyburn Comprehensive School in June and is pursuing the study of piano.
She has volunteered of her time and talents in church and school. She has participated in the Weyburn Music Festival and was recommended to provincials. At school, Keith has participated in choirs, accompanied the STARS Choir, and has enjoyed being part of the musical productions.
Keith received a $2,000 Helen Davidson Music Award during a public presentation, held at the Tommy Douglas Performing Arts Centre on June 19.
Keith is the daughter of Colin and Kerrie Keith.
This award is presented in the memory of Helen Davidson, a Music Teacher and organist in Weyburn for many years. Kristen is the 10th recipient of the $2,000 award.
