A number of runners head down Third Street from the start line for the Opportunity Road Race, which was held on Sunday afternoon. From Third Street, runners took either a five kilometre, 10 km or 15 km course, which included running down the Tatagwa Trails and down the Saskatchewan Drive in the former Souris Valley grounds. Depending on the course, some runners were also on Fifth Street. The Opportunity Road Race was held to raise funds for KidSport this year. First-place finishers of the five kilometre walk were Sue Hagel and Diane Mus, tying at 43:48; the five km run was run by Andrew Bryant; the 10 km run was won by Andrew Broccolo, the 15 km run was won by Gerry Nagy, and the Kids Mini Mile was won by Emily Williams and Sydney Spencer. Next year's race will take place on August 16. Full race results will be posted at www.weyburnroadrace.com.
