The Saskatchewan Youth Choir is an auditioned choir made up of singers ages 15-22 from around the province of Saskatchewan.

They come together for three intensive weekend rehearsals to work on the repertoire prior to this final weekend. On the final weekend they head out to various parts of Saskatchewan to share their love of music through workshops at schools and concerts in the communities they are visiting.

There is a final concert, hosted typically in Regina, to close off the season as well as kick off Choral Week and the Optimist Choral Festival, which is held annually in Regina as well.

These events fall within the week of Feb. 7-14, which has been designated Choral Week in Saskatchewan by Gene Makowsky, Minister of Parks, Culture and Sport.
