For children, there are programs for preschoolers, and ages 6-8 and 9-12 years, with a February art camp set for the winter break on Feb. 16-19 for those aged eight to 12 years. (The photos above show art camp from last year, as well as the rock-shaping class which will be offered again this year.)

The preschooler programs include a crafts activity, held on Saturdays from 10 to 11 a.m. There is a painting class also for preschoolers, on Saturdays from 1-2 p.m. Both of these classes will run from Feb. 6 to March 13, with no classes on Feb. 20 or 27.

For children aged six to eight, there is a painting class, held after school on Tuesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., and a Crafty Kids program on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The Tuesday program will run from Feb. 2 to March 2, except on Feb. 16, and the Wednesday classes will go from Feb. 3 to March 3 except for Feb. 17.

A beginner knitting class will run for four weeks at City Hall, on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

A rock shaping and polishing class will be held on Saturday, March 13 at Bruce Wagner’s studio, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be a class to make a felted wall hanging using images of the student’s favourite flowers, on Saturday, March 13 in the Sun Room from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
