Winners of James Weir People's Choice named

The top vote-getters in the James Weir People's Choice art competition were announced at a public reception by curator Regan Lanning on Feb. 21 at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery.

The top vote-getters in the James Weir People's Choice art competition were announced at a public reception by curator Regan Lanning on Feb. 21 at the Allie Griffin Art Gallery. There were a total of 34 entries, and 1,221 ballots were cast, with 378 votes made on-line for the first time this year. The top winner was Chris Borshowa for his photograph, "Trees Burn Auburn"; Marilyn Nelson was second for her abstract painting, "Impermanence", and Heather van der Breggen came in third for her abstract, "Pulse".
