Lomond 4-H has elections, many activities

The first meeting for the Lomond 4-H Beef and HomecraftsClub was on Oct. 21.

The first meeting for the Lomond 4-H Beef and HomecraftsClub was on Oct. 21. The club members had an election and the president is Mason Thackeray, the vice-president is Katelyn Thackeray, the secretary is Amy Fradette, the treasurer is Heidi Fradette, and the club reporter is Andrea Fradette.

The club leaders are Kaylee McKenzie and Jason Durr, and the craft leader is Stephanie Fradette.

The club had a craft 4-H meeting in Regina on Nov. 8. The members went to an escape room and a fabric store. They bought fabric so they could sew pajama bottoms. All seven members picked out a pattern, and Paulette Howard came with them. She is going to lead the club through the sewing project.

Club members decorated green and white themed cupcakes with Becky Wesley on Nov. 22. Afterwards, they squirted the extra icing in each other’s mouths, and had a lot of fun that day.

The beef club had a meeting on Nov. 21 at Goodwater Hall.

There were four members who competed at Agribition in showmanship and team grooming. The junior team was Jenna Beblow Tytlandsvik, Amy and Andie Fradette. They came in fourth and each won a feed tub and grooming supplies.

The club’s next activities are over the Christmas holidays. There will be a craft meeting with Sheila Thackeray and a weigh day and Christmas party in Lake Alma.
