A 46-year-old Fillmore man is facing four charges arising out of an incident on Highway 33 in which a motorist allegedly had a firearm pointed at him.
The Weyburn RCMP responded to a 911 call received from a male motorist who was traveling south-bound on Highway 33 near Sedley, on Sunday, at about 5 p.m. The motorist reported that a male driving another car behind him had attempted to pass him unsuccessfully due to oncoming traffic. The suspect driver was ordered out of his vehicle at gunpoint and was subsequently arrested. A search of the vehicle revealed a pistol grip BB shot shotgun in the front of the vehicle and a replica M-16 air-soft rifle and a BB pistol were located in the rear passenger area of the vehicle, along with a small quantity of hash oil.
Charged is Dale D. Lakeman, age 46, of Fillmore. The charges he is facing include assault with a weapon, possession of weapon dangerous to the public peace, dangerous driving and possession of a controlled substance.
