Members of the Saskatchewan RCMP had 78 calls for service related to COVID-19 from April 17 to 23, including the following:

·43 complaints of social gatherings of over 10 people;

·Eight complaints of people failing to self-isolate when allegedly required to do so;

·27 other COVID-19 related complaints.

Additionally, one charge was laid. The RCMP remind all residents that the Public Health Order is still in place and they continue to work closely with Saskatchewan Health Authorities to investigate any potential violations of the Order.

The information above tells just one part of the story of how the Saskatchewan RCMP is continuing to keep communities safe by responding to calls for service.

Officers across the province continue to respond to calls for service unrelated to COVID-19 and have also participated in several birthday and community parades with partner agencies, when time permits.

The weather has been nicer in many areas of the province; however, everyone must continue do their part, from members of the public to police officers and beyond, to slow the spread of COVID-19.

This includes continuing to stay home, refraining from gathering in groups over 10 and maintaining a distance of two metres or more.
