The RCMP in Saskatchewan had 82 calls for service related to COVID-19 from April 24 to 30, including the following:

·43 complaints of social gatherings of over 10 people;

·7 complaints of people failing to self-isolate when allegedly required to do so;

·32 other COVID-19 related complaints.

Additionally, two charges were laid for social gatherings over 10 people in the northern area of the province. The Public Health Order has been extended and the RCMP continues to work closely with Saskatchewan Health authorities to investigate any potential violations of the Order.

This information tells just one part of the story of how the Saskatchewan RCMP is continuing to keep communities safe by responding to calls for service. Officers across the province continue to respond to calls for service unrelated to COVID-19 and have also participated in several birthday and community parades with partner agencies, when time permits.

The weather has been nicer in many areas of the province; however, all residents must continue do their part, from members of the public to police officers and beyond, to slow the spread of COVID-19.

This includes continuing to stay home and refraining from gathering in groups over 10 and maintaining a distance of two metres or more.
