Const. Melinda Mintenko displayed the National Police Award for Traffic Safety for 2019, presented at the Canadian Association of Chiefs of Police national convention in Calgary on Aug. 13. She was recognized for her work in developing the "Ride's On Us" program to address the issue of impaired driving in Weyburn, where free rides were offered to those willing to turn over their keys if they had been drinking at an event or establishment.
