Const. Melinda Mintenko put the cuffs on Chief Marlo Pritchard, while Const. Kalin Wiebe did the same with fire chief Simon Almond, at the Police Commission meeting on Wednesday afternoon at City Hall.
The pair were arrested as part of a fundraising effort for the STARS Air Ambulance, and they had a "perp walk" to the police station where they were incarcerated in cells for a couple of hours, in the hopes more donations would be made to STARS.
This initiative began at the Evening With STARS supper event held in the spring by the Weyburn and District Hospital Foundation.
