Weyburn Police along with EMS members responded to a medical event in the east end of the city in the early morning hours of January 13, as an adult male was in medical distress.
Police members arrived and administered doses of Naloxone as a result of the male being in cardiac arrest due to a suspected drug overdose. Police assisted with CPR until EMS arrived and took over medical care of the male.
Unfortunately the efforts of Police and EMS were unsuccessful and the male was pronounced deceased.
