Weyburn police investigates reports of theft

Weyburn police received a report of a theft of a bicycle from a residence in the 200 block of 10 th Street on Thursday. The bicycle is described as a blue mountain bike, ladies, with a black lock on the bike and a black seat.

Weyburn police received a report of a theft of a bicycle from a residence in the 200 block of 10th Street on Thursday. The bicycle is described as a blue mountain bike, ladies, with a black lock on the bike and a black seat. Anyone having information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Weyburn Police Service or to call Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

City police received a report of the theft of a bicycle from the 100 block of Fifth Avenue SE on Saturday. A short time later a Weyburn police member noted a person riding a bicycle that matched the description of the one stolen. The person was arrested and has been charged with the theft.

Police received a report regarding the theft of personal cheques on Jan. 21 and the cheques subsequently being used. The matter is still under investigation.

Weyburn police were dispatched to a report of a theft from a business on Wednesday. The business had apprehended two people on store property. One individual had a warrant for his arrest relating to a traffic ticket.

The Weyburn police were dispatched to a residence regarding a possible domestic dispute on Jan. 20. Once there the police were able to determine that no one had been injured or threatened and that it was a verbal argument that got out of hand. No further action was required by the police.

Police received a request to conduct a wellbeing check on an individual on Wednesday. The person was located and transported to a local hospital for assessment.

Police received a request to mediate a child visitation on Friday.

City police received a call regarding a domestic disturbance on Saturday. Weyburn police members attended and were able to mediate the matter without the need for further police involvement.

City police received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a potential domestic issue in a downtown business on Saturday. The police attended to ensure the safety of the parties and took no further action.

Weyburn police received a report of a person missing from a youth care facility on Sunday. The person was eventually located and was arrested for breach of a court order. The youth was eventually released to the caregiver.
