JDRF pie-throwing

The pie throwers and pie recipients alike from Pharmasave dealt with the after-effects of pie-throwing, at the conclusion of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) walk on Sunday afternoon at the City Centre Mall. The store operators-pharmacists of Pharmasave, Laura Resler and Krista Missal (at right) had pledged to get pied as a reward for their store team raising $1,895 for the JDRF, and the pie throwers, Darby Croal and Mathea Mlynarski, ended up with a surprise pie in the face as well. The JDRF walk raised a total of $11,000 towards diabetes research and program support for those living with Type 1 diabetes.
