Bull rider Andrew Byrne of Prince Albert had a hard landing after a short ride on a bull, at Midale's 12th annual Bull Bash on Friday evening. There were 15 professional bull riders who vied for prize money and points in the standings. Fans were treated to wild pony races in the intermission, featuring teams of local kids trying to get onto a wild pony. The Midale Pioneer Echoes fair was held on Saturday and Sunday as well, with the antique tractor parade and threshing demonstration, and team roping on Saturday, and barrel racing on Sunday.
