This typical four-bed patient room at the Weyburn General Hospital demonstrates the lack of privacy, and space for patients at the current Weyburn General Hospital. There is a growing need for a new hospital in Weyburn, as staff and doctors continue to provide patient services through the aging Weyburn General Hospital. The Weyburn General Hospital was originally built as the Weyburn Union Hospital in 1952, and then later an east wing was constructed in 1961.
