The Saskatchewan Health Authority is issuing an advisory after confirmation of a positive COVID-19 individual who was likely infectious while attending a business in Kenosee. Anyone who attended the following business during the times listed should be self-monitoring for symptoms for 14 days after their visit, or seek a testing referral by contacting HealthLine 811.

• July 17, between 9:30pm and 12:30am (July 18)at Bar Bar, Kenosee

In cases where anyone tests positive for COVID-19, a contact investigation immediately follows where public health reaches out to anyone who may be linked to a positive case and provide them with information on testing and self-isolation.

If health officials are uncertain that they have identified all known close contacts, they may take further action to notify the community about possible locations where positive individuals may have attended while symptomatic.

As contact tracing efforts continue in many areas of the Saskatchewan, health officials are strongly reminding all Saskatchewan residents to ensure they are personally following public health orders and guidelines.

This includes public health orders restricting the size of indoor and outdoor private gatherings such as house parties and barbecues.

Effective June 22, 2020, indoor and outdoor gatherings may have a maximum of 30 people, provideda two-metre separation can be maintained at all timesbetween individuals who are not in the same household.

In addition, all Saskatchewan residents should keep in mind the following while planning gatherings:

• Even if your gathering is less than 30, it's recommended you meet less frequently, meet outdoors and meet in as small a group as possible.

• Wear a non-medical mask whenever you are unable to maintain physical distance of two metres – in both public and private spaces.

• COVID-19 is most likely to be transmitted by sharing food, drink and utensils. Avoid shared surfaces.

More information on private and public gatherings, including how to create extended households can be found at saskatchewan.ca/COVID19 under Public Health Measures – Public and Private Gatherings.

COVID-19 is still present in Saskatchewan and we all have a responsibility to minimize the spread of the disease. Together, we can make a positive difference and keep our communities safe.
