The Weyburn and area business community has a long history of supporting Communithon. The Communithon Committee has adopted a Giving Level Program to acknowledge the generous donations received by businesses.
The program recognizes giving levels: Friend, Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum with opportunities for recognition, tax incentives and advertising. The Giving Level results will be featured throughout the community to acknowledge business support for Communithon each year.
The Communithon Committee is encouraging Weyburn and area businesses to become involved with Communithon in any way possible: business challenges, donation, online auction or volunteering.
The 2020 Communithon will be held at the Weyburn Royal Canadian Legion on Friday, October 23. The hours for Communithon will be 8 a.m. to 11 p.m., and at this time due to COVID-19 restrictions only volunteers and entertainers will be allowed at the Legion.
Residents in Weyburn and area will have an opportunity to watch Communithon live on Access 7 and streamed from their YouTube channel.
The 11 community agencies for 2020 are: Big Brothers Big Sisters Weyburn, Canadian Mental Health Association, Canadian Red Cross, Community Low Income Centre, CNIB Foundation, Envision Counselling and Support Centre, Inclusion Weyburn, Spinal Cord Injury Saskatchewan, Weyburn Care-a-Van, Weyburn Special Care Home Auxiliary, and Weyburn Youth Centre.
