Comp hands out academic awards

The academic awards for last year’s junior and senior high grades at the Weyburn Comprehensive School were presented at ceremonies held on Thursday evening at the Cugnet Centre.

The academic awards for last year’s junior and senior high grades at the Weyburn Comprehensive School were presented at ceremonies held on Thursday evening at the Cugnet Centre.
For the junior high grades, there were awards for student achievement, for achieving 70 per cent Ms on their report cards, with honourable student achievement for 75 per cent Ms, and awards of excellence were for students with 80 per cent or more Ms.
For last year’s Grade 7 students, student achievement awards went to Honey Mae Bernal, A.J. Donald, Ben Manning, Ty Petersen, Nathan Spence and John Vogel. The honourable student achievement awards went to Hayley Gill, Adrienne van Staveren and Kylie VanDeSype.
The Awards of Excellence were presented to Bridget Alexander, Troy Dickie, Allie Gawryluik, Tasey Gerle, Macie Hala, Lana Hamel, Abbie Hayward, Jeana Hulbert, Denae King, Dallas LaCoste, Chanel Lanz-McIntyre, Sargent McGowan, Shae Pelechaty, Sidney Sidloski, Ocean Tonn, Braelee Wade, Shelby Williamson, Jillian Zackrisson and Kara Zelyck.
For Grade 8, student achievement awards went to Jaylynn Haupstein, Sawyer Kopec, Jake Young and Kale Williamson. Honourable student achievement awards went to Khloe Bedore, Dylan Birnie, Tyler Domes, Abigail Kenway, Kateryna Peregon and Makena Ricard.
The Awards of Excellence went to Makenzie Barrie, Soraya Blunt, Maggie Borschowa, Dakota Bowler, Hanna Bratrud, Risa Burdan, Jayda Cameron, Jorde Chartrand, Cash Cuthbert, Eric Fleming, Kate Goranson, Dylan Heustis, Adysson Jackson, Addison Klapak, Makenna Ling, Zachary Olson, Reece Pittman, Kiera Pittman, Abby Pohl, Mei Segade, Russ Shumlich, Ross VanDeWeyer and Gregg Wiens.
For Grade 9, student achievement awards went to Maya Knipfel, Aiden Krafchuk, Jenna Moore, Sameer Srikant, Kylie Van De Woestyne, and Autumn Verbeem. Honourable student achievement awards went to Blake Anderson, Breanna Bjarnason, Chase Fink Helfrick, Sierra Lenek and Hudson Neuberger.
The Awards of Excellence went to Abby Akins, Wanru Anderson, Brett Bowler, Faith Bratrud, Elias Burdan, Chandler Dickie, Jessica Dixon, Rumina Edgerton, Harmony Grainger, Matthew Hutt, Kaitlyn Kruger, Madison Lafoy, Shayla Moore, Ty Nikolejsin, Abby Phair, Hayley Pompu, Cheyenne Pope, Jordyne Robertson and Arliss Sidloski.
