Drug Search Executed by Weyburn Police

As a result of an ongoing investigation, on August 9th, the Weyburn Police Service Criminal Investigation Unit and the Weyburn Police Uniformed Patrol Officers, supported by officers from the National Weapons Enforcement Support Team (Regina), Yorkton RCMP K9 Unit and Fillmore RCMP, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Warrant at a residence on the east side of the City. Found inside the residence was a 21-year old female, a 24-year old male and a youth male, whom were arrested and taken into police custody without incident.

The 21-year old female was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of a Weapon (machete and knives) Dangerous to the Public and Possession of Proceeds of Crime of a Value Exceeding Five-Thousand Dollars.

The 24-year old male was charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetmaine for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Cocaine , Possession of a Weapon (machete and knives) Dangerous to the Public, Possession of Proceeds of Crime of a Value Exceeding Five-Thousand Dollars and Breaching a Probation Order.

The youth male was charged with three counts of Possessing a Weapon Dangerous to the Public (machete, knife and trench knuckles) and one count of Breaching a Probation Order.

This investigation is ongoing, and further charges may result.
