Vivian Huang, the Rotary exchange student for Weyburn, offered young visitors a treat for the “Trunk Explosion” Halloween event held at Calvary Baptist Church on Halloween night. A number of vehicles were lined up with different candy treats in car and SUV trunks, and inside the church were a number of Halloween-themed games children could enjoy. The event was set up to provide a safe environment for very young trick-or-treaters. This Halloween was a cultural experience for Vivian, as she noted that Halloween is not observed in her home country of Taiwan like it is here with everyone dressing up in costumes.
