Lynn Little, education director of Southeast Cornerstone School Division, listens as Grade 5 student Asia explains what she coded into the game of Minecraft, in a demonstration of the pilot program of Girls Who Game at Souris School. The pilot program began at tne end of April and will end on Jue 20, and the girls of the Grade 4/5 class explained what they learned in the program which taught them how to do coding for the popular video game, with technical support provided by Dell Computers. The company selected one school from each province to take part in the pilot program, and Souris was the selected school for Saskatchewan. The company will now look at the data from all the programs and assess whether they will continue on with it in the future.
