Joan Drouillard-Honig, at left, explained how some of the many gardens were formed and grew around the Heritage Village, during a tour on Sunday afternoon. She noted that this archway has been used for weddings at the village, and is one of her favourite spots. For those who were interested, she gave a history of how and why various gardens came to be as she worked on planting them and developing over the last several years at the Heritage Village, including what varieties of flowers, shrubs and trees are planted.
