Holy Family School Division sees increased enrolment

Overall, the school division had an increase of 13 students from the projection made to the Ministry of Education last year, and it’s up by 26 students compared to enrolment as of Sept. 30, 2018, with a total of 1,395 students at five schools, plus home-based students.

The official enrolment for the school year for the ministry is taken on Sept. 30 for grant purposes, and division officials expect there may be some minor changes in enrolment by that date.

Broken down by school, St. Michael School in Weyburn had 517 students on the first day of school, up from the projected enrolment of 503, and up from 511 at Sept. 30 last year.

St. Olivier in Radville had 147 students on opening day, up from the projected level of 136, and up from 142 on Sept. 30.

Sacred Heart School in Estevan had 377, down from the projected level of 392, but up from last year’s official enrolment of 367.

St. Mary’s in Estevan had 291 students on opening day, up one from their projected enrolment, and up from 287 on Sept. 30 last year.

St. Augustine in Wilcox had 56 students on opening day, up one from their projection, and is the same as at Sept. 30.
