Hoop dancer Teddy Anderson uses up to 30 hoops as he perfromed a traditional First Nations hoop dance for elementary students from Haig and Souris Schools on Wednesday. The Weyburn Concert Series sponsored his visit to Weyburn, where all five elementary schools had the opportunity to watch him, as well as paying for the transportation costs for two schools to be able to attend his performance. The Victoria-based dancer explained the significance and traditions of his dances, including why certain symbols were an integral part of the dance.
