Const. Jeffery Bartsch (left) of the Weyburn Police Service posed with two Fredericton police officers, Detective Chris Furlotte and Const. Pat Small, as he took part in a 10-kilometre run at the 41st annual Fredericton Mother’s Day event on Sunday in Fredericton, N.B. He ran in full uniform to pay tribute to his friend, Const. Sara Burns, who was shot and killed last summer by a lone gunman, along with Const. Costello and two civilians. After the race, Const. Bartsch met many people, including Sara Burns’ parents and sister, who thanked him for his attendance to the event.
