Fillmore RCMP, Stoughton Fire Department, and Stoughton EMS responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 13 near the town of Stoughton on Sept. 27. The accident occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m.
The investigation revealed that a passenger car, operated by the accused, crossed the centre line and collided with an oncoming semi unit. Minor injuries were sustained by the driver of the car.
Subsequent investigation has led to charges of impaired driving by drug, driving while suspended, possession of methamphetamine for the purposes of trafficking, and other Criminal Code charges.
A 34-year-old male from Yellow Grass will appear in Estevan Provincial Court on Monday, October 1, to answer to the charges.
