The Whispy Willow DIY group held a painting fundraiser for the Mending Little Hearts Fund of Saskatchewan on Wednesday night at Boston Pizza.

There was a entry fee for the painting class with $15 of each entry fee being donated to Mending Little Hearts.

The Mending Little Hearts Fund is a charitable fund in partnership with Jim Pattison's Children's Hospital that is specifically for children in Saskatchewan with heart conditions.

Whispy Willow provided the supplies needed to make clocks, planter boxes, serving trays, family name signs and much more. The instructors went step-by-step to teach the group how to paint their boards using the barn board technique. They then went carefully over how to use the stencils to make each specific design.

Some of those who attended were Heart Warrior family memebrs who are families from Weyburn that have children suffering with a heart condition.
