New charges laid in homicide investigation

The Weyburn Police Service, with the assistance of the RCMP Major Crime Unit South, have now laid new charges against three females, as a result of the ongoing investigation into the January 4th homicide.

The Weyburn Police Service, with the assistance of the RCMP Major Crime Unit South, have now laid new charges against three females, as a result of the ongoing investigation into the January 4th homicide.

The females, an 18-year-old, a 19-year-old and a 21-year-old, have all been charged with accessory after the fact under section 463 of the Criminal Code, as well as obstructing justice and possession of a weapon without a license.

All of the accused have been released from custody on an undertaking. They will make their first court appearance on these charges in Weyburn on Tuesday, Feb. 26.
