The steel beams forming the structure of Weyburn's new elementary school are slowly taking shape as work crews make progress at the location off Fifth Street, on the former location of the Weyburn Junior High. The new school will house about 650 students when it opens in September of 2021, and behind the school will be the City of Weyburn's Recreation and Culture Centre (WRCC). This structure will include a half-size indoor soccer field with a second-level running track, art gallery, meeting rooms and a number of multi-puropose rooms.
