Pangman School 2020 grad set for Sept. 18

Pangman —Pangman School graduation 2020 for Layton Krauss and James Davidson will be held on Friday, Sept. 18, with the exercises at 7 p.m. Due to COVID-19, the ceremony will be held outside the Pangman School on the front lawn. People are asked to bring their own lawn chair or blanket if you wish to sit. Please remember to practice social distancing. Everyone is welcome to attend.

The Farmers Market in Pangman will continue through the month of September, weather permitting. The market is held on Main Street each Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Lightning caused a bale fire north of Khedive recently.

The Deep South Personal Care home is sponsoring a Christmas Cash lotto at $10 a ticket. Only 1,000 tickets will be sold. Names will be re-entered each and every draw. Draws will take place at the Home at noon each day. Winners will be contacted and names will be posted on the DSPCH Facebook page. Tickets are available from local businesses or through the staff and board members.

Many attended the graveside burials for Dwayne Michael Heath and Ted Heath held at the Pangman cemetery on September 1. Father Stephen Bill officiated.

Haden Robert Reed Froh-Siwy was born on August 4 to Nancy Froh and Devon Siwy of Red Deer, Alta., a brother for Dylan. Grandparents are Margaret Froh of Khedive and Zig and Judy Siwy of Weyburn. Margaret Froh recently returned home from visiting them.

As of Sept. 12, the Pangman Thrift shop will be going back to their regular hours on Wednesdays from 1-4 p.m. and Saturdays from 1- 5 p.m.

Some of the residents of the Deep South Personal Care home participated in the High Roller tournament on Sept. 3 with Danette Jensen coming in first place with her score of 180 points. Joyce Hval took second place with her score of 115 points and Evelyn Froh brought in third with her score of 95 points.

Juel and Lis Sheppard from Thunder Bay, Ont., and Jason and Jen Sheppard, Reagan, Avery and Hudson from Luseland, spent from August 15 to 20 visiting their parents John and Debbie Sheppard.
