Work crews were busy drilling pilings on Friday on the site of Weyburn's new elementary school on Fifth Street, on the former site of the Weyburn Junior High. The new school construction project will take about two years to complete, along with construction of the new Weyburn Recreation and Culture Centre fieldhouse complex, with the school set to open in September of 2021. The new school will take in the students from Queen Elizabeth, Haig and Souris Schools, around 650 students altogether.
