Al York of York Jewellers presented the proceeds of a clock raffle to Pam Arndt-Schick, president of the Weyburn Humane Society board, on Friday morning.

A unique Pac-man clock, donated by the Bradford Exchange and York Jewellers, was raffled off with tickets sold in November and December, and the total proceeds of $526.05 were donated towards the Humane Society’s ongoing operating expenses. The winner of the clock was Marcy Nast.

Arndt-Schick said the Humane Society has ongoing needs for kitten and cat food at the animal shelter, particularly as they have more cats than dogs right now, and for other needs like litter and bleach.

The next fundraiser event scheduled for the Humane Society right now is in February, when a bake sale will be held. A meeting is coming up on Jan. 21 where the Humane Society members will discuss other fundraising ideas and projects for the coming months.
