RBC, through RBC Foundation, announced a $50,000 donation to the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation to mark the 100th anniversary of its Weyburn Branch. RBC's donation is in support of the capital campaign to build a new hospital in Weyburn.
"Weyburn needs a new hospital. The present building is 60 years old," said Kim Thorson, Chairperson, Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation. "This generous contribution from RBC helps us move towards making a new hospital for Weyburn a reality, and ensuring ongoing quality health care for our community."
Being a part of Weyburn for 100 years is an important milestone that gives RBC ample reason to celebrate while extending a heartfelt thank you to the residents of Weyburn for their business.
"Our donation to this campaign will help serve the residents of Weyburn for generations to come, and is our way of saying thank you - for your past, present, and continued support. We are proud to play a role in helping to build a healthy future for our community," said Ed Kaulbach, RBC's Regional Vice President, Saskatchewan South. "I'd also like to thank the employees of RBC in Weyburn for reaching this impressive milestone. Their commitment to putting our clients and community first is key to our success."
