Golfball drop

Around 8,000 golf balls dropped from a bucket suspended by a crane at the Woodlawn Golf Course in Estevan on Saturday evening, with three winners determined from the balls that went into the hole, all from Weyburn. First prize went to Karen Worman, for $5,000; second went to Gladys Emisch, for $3,000; and third went to Marcel Van Staveren, for $1,000. The tickets were sold by the Estevan and Weyburn Rotary Clubs, with proceeds going to the STARS Air Ambulance, and to the projects supported by the two Rotary Clubs, including hospital foundations and other local charities.
