Southeast College is once again collecting donations at its campus locations in Weyburn, Estevan and Moosomin. The food collection began on Dec. 2 and will wrap up on Wednesday, Dec. 18, with all of the collected items donated locally in each of the communities.

“As part of our commitment to enhancing our student experience and to encourage our students and staff to help to give back to the communities that we serve, we are very excited to offer collection points for donations,”said Sheena Onrait, Manager of Marketing and Communications for Southeast College.

“Every donation that a person makes, either a nonperishable food item donation or a cash donation, will earn them a draw ballot. At the end of the collection period we will draw at each of our locations for a prize package.”

Collection bins are located in our campus locations in Weyburn, Estevan and Moosomin. Staff, students and the public are encouraged to drop off donations at these locations up until Dec. 18.

“We are members of the communities that we serve and we recognize that food bank usage traditionally increases in the Christmas season,” said Onrait. “We encourage other businesses and groups to join in with us to help meet the needs of individuals and families in southeast Saskatchewan.”

Southeast College is proud to be the trainer of choice in southeast Saskatchewan, serving approximately 5,000 learners and producing over 3,100 graduates annually. The College offers innovative and flexible programming that encourages students to learn where they live.
