Weyburn groups and organizations have begun setting up decorated Christmas trees for the 20th anniversary of the premiere fundraising event, the Festival of Trees, for the Family Place.

This photo shows Amber Istace of Speak To Me, a speech-language service based in Weyburn, setting up her tree complete with tiny dinosaurs, which is a favourite of many of her young clients.

Tree setup will take place until Wednesday, Nov. 20, and the Festival of Trees will open for viewing as of Thursday, Nov. 21, until Thursday, Nov. 28, along with many silent auction items up for bid.

The decorated trees will be sold by auctioneer Winston Bailey on the evening of Nov. 28, and the silent auction will also close that night, and all proceeds will go to help the Family Place and their slate of programs and services, such as the Mini-Go program for preschool children, and parenting programs.
