A group of local volunteers, and employees from Prairie Sky Co-op gathered at the Riverwood playground to unveil the sign for the Community Spaces grant that helped pay for the equipment in Riverwood, located on the former Souris Valley grounds.The Riverwood Outdoor Wellness Committee has completed building the playground that was supported by a $40,000 donation in 2017 through Prairie Sky Co-op, on behalf of Federated Co-op Limited and its Community Spaces initiative.
The Riverwood Outdoor Wellness Committee and Prairie Sky Co-op are proud to announce the completion of an outdoor wellness space after two years. A “signage unveiling” event took place at the park on Thursday.
The playground is open to the public and is in the Riverwood development area of Weyburn. It features equipment that helps create a fun workout for children and gives users a different experience of using exercise equipment outdoors. A sponsor recognition sign is now displayed proudly at the park, showing Prairie Sky Co-op’s involvement in its communities.
