St. Michael JDRF pizza party

The Grades 5 and 6 classes at St. Michael School gathered after having a pizza party for lunch on Wednesday for raising the most money for the recent Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation walk held in Weyburn. The school as a whole raised $1,300 for the JDRF walk, which brought in a total of around $11,000 this year. A special guest for the pizza party was Holden Kopec, centre, who talked to the students about his struggles with Type 1 diabetes, and he answered their questions about what it’s like to live with the disease.
