The Grade 8s get to spend this time with Mini-Go children once a month. Mini-Go is a preschool program at the Family Place for children who are at risk, which helps to prepare children for school.

The Mini-Go program is one of several programs at the Family Place which benefit from the Festival of Trees annual fundraiser, which is ongoing right now at the Barber Motors showroom, and will wrap up with the silent auction and live auction of Christmas trees on Thursday, Nov. 28.
