Teaching future rollercoaster builders

Physics teacher Karen Kennedy-Allin, left, made some pointers with a group of her Physics 30 students on a model of a rollercoaster they were testing out. The students are, from left, Eric Kaip, Ridwan Siraly, Elias Burdan and Max Hiske. The students tested the rollercoaster design, and had to provide all of the calculations involved, showing such factors as acceleration, velocity and kinetic energy.
