The Weyburn community was invited to celebrate with the Weyburn Comprehensive School’s Class of 2020 by participating in a reverse parade on Saturday afternoon.

The grads lined up the length of the tree-lined Saskatchewan Drive, off King Street, and friends, family and the community were invited to drive by to see all of the grads and wish them congratulations.

Around 120 graduates took part in the event, held on a hot summer day with temperatures reaching around 32 degrees. Volunteers were on hand to make sure everyone had a cold bottle of water, and police and fire personnel helped to keep the flow of traffic going with over 1,000 vehicles estimated to have driven the parade route over two hours.

The virtual grad ceremonies were held on line on Saturday evening.
