“Early in July the Chamber hosts the parade as the unofficial kick off to the summer season and the Weyburn Fair, but unfortunately the COVID pandemic has changed the way we typically celebrate many events,” commented Twila Walkeden, Executive Director of the Weyburn Chamber of Commerce.

“It would be very difficult to enforce any distancing requirements as well as the 10 person maximum the Government has established, so therefore the Chamber has made the decision to cancel the parade for 2020.”

The Chamber of Commerce parade travels through the downtown core in order to encourage support of our local businesses.

It is important, now more than ever, to support our businesses so they encourage businesses to celebrate the start of summer by holding their own celebrations, decorating their windows and using their own creativity to encourage shoppers to explore the unique stores and services Weyburn has to offer.
