This series of photos shows the final moments of the 2019 Communithon, with the last entertainers, the Caragana Ramblers, onstage for a couple of songs, and playing the final song as the Communithon organizing committee was brought out onto the risers in front of the stage.
Emcee Glenn Rogers interviewed Communithon chair Wanda Miller as all of the committee members and volunteers present in the hall gathered with her.
The Communithon fundraiser finished with a total of $73,362 when they went off the air at 11 p.m. at the Weyburn Legion Hall, ending a full day of entertainment, information about the 11 community agencies the funds were raised to support, and sharing of memories of past Communithons from when it used to be hosted at the Legion in years past.
There were school and community groups, and many individual performers, such as singers, dancers and choirs who performed throughout the day.
More funds will be coming in to the committee in the days ahead, and the total amount raised will be updated by the committee at a later time.
